Athletes are expected to attend at least one practice each week.
The official season schedule will be released at orientation and will be posted here once released.
Practices will generally be after school on selected weekdays and certain Saturdays.
Athletes can use team firearms during practice or bring their own.
Personal firearms must be in an appropriate case, with any ammunition stored in a separate pocket or in a separate case.
Many students have a separate case, a "Range Bag", in which to carry their ammunition, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
Approved firearms for practice are the following:
Semi-automatic rifle and/or handgun in .22 or 9mm caliber.
*Note that students that drive themselves to practice are NOT allowed to transport weapons unless the student is age 18yrs or older.

If weather prevents us from safely using the outdoor range Mon-Thur, then we will use the indoor range.
What to Bring: Eye and Ear Protection, Ammunition, Unloaded and cased guns, ideally 6 magazines for your guns.
What to wear: Comfortable clothing, consider wearing team colors- Red, Black, Gray, White, preferably with Hurricane Marksmanship logo, OR sport-associated logo and closed-toe shoes normally used for exercising, running, hiking. Boots are also a good choice if the event is outdoors.
Attendance: Attending at least one practice a week is required. If missed, it can be made up by attending 2 in another week.
Each athlete must sign in upon arrival and sign out before departure.
Registered athletes may attend practice, but may not shoot without a parent until NRA certification is completed.
Practice format: Sign in, Set up, Prayer, Announcements, Conditioning, Safety Brief, Laser Drills, Live Fire Drills, Live Fire Stages, Pack up, Clean up, Sign out, Continue practicing at home.
