Below are the prerequisites for joining the Greenville Hurricanes Marksmanship team.
*No prior experience with firearms is required. However, GHM Summer Camp is a great way for youth to get exposure, training, knowledge, and experience with firearms.
Students must complete the NRA Basic Shooting Safety Certification Course
Taught by head coach Vic Seiter.
Guns, ammo, targets, eye pro, ear pro, and training materials provided. You can bring your own gear and rifle chambered in 22LR.
After the training is completed, there is a written test and a shooting test. Certificate issued.
There is a $50 fee to secure a spot with limited spaces available. Call SharpShooters ((864) 292-5800) to signup.
Schedule options are either:
September 10th 2022, 9am - 4pm (entire course completed in one day)
September 19th & 21st 6pm - 9pm (entire course completed over two evenings)
Parents are encouraged to get certified along with their child
Sports Physical
This must be completed annually and physician sports release form emailed to: canes@greenvillehurricanes.com
Sports physicals can be conducted by
your family physician
many health clinics
Greenville Hurricanes is offering $25 Sports Physicals on October 3rd, 6-8pm. You must have an appointment. Contact Kristin to sign up. canesfirst@gmail.com
Birth Certificate: A copy must be emailed only once to: canes@greenvillehurricanes.com
